Cliché Magazine, one of the hottest digital fashion magazines online, is looking for a passionate Blog Manager who can assist us in managing our awesome blog that receives over 60,000 unique visitors per week. This is a very engaging internship that will allow you to build your leadership and management skills among others. Some of your weekly responsibilities will include overseeing our team of writing interns, hiring new interns as needed, assigning stories and ensuring assignments are completed on time and uploaded /scheduled on the blog. Though this is a non-paid internship, there is the possibility of earning college credits for those who qualify.
This is an amazing opportunity for those who have always wanted to help an extremely active blog in the fashion / pop-culture niche. Must have strong leadership skills and be able to multi-task like nobodies business. Please carefully read the qualifications below and apply if interested. This is a demanding internship that you will conduct from the comfort of your home, apartment or dorm room. You will need to dedicate real time inorder to complete the internship and gain the knowledge and invaluable experience it will provide. ONLY SERIOUS PERSONS APPLY.
*Sort pitches received into Blog Pitches.
*Actively search for trending topics or celebrities to write about.
*Conduct monthly brainstorming sessions for blog article ideas. Must approve stories.
*Assign stories to interns and ensure that deadlines are met and that all blog posts have been uploaded, properly assembled and saved into draft mode.
*Connect agents/PR point persons with writers
*Editing and scheduling all blog posts
*Keep on top of staff with biweekly (twice a week) email check-ins.
*Hiring & Training new interns.
*Awarding college credit. (when applicable).
*High-speed internet connection with the ability to check email on a daily basis and accessing/downloading large files remotely
*College/graduate level writing with a sharp eye and ability to proofread and correct basic grammatical errors
*Copy editing experience
*Confident management skills
*Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet very strict deadlines
*Previous supervision of writers is a huge plus
*Managing prior blogs is a huge plus
